Day Trip to Cannes, France

A half-hour bus Cannes Nice, along the gorgeous coastline, brings you to Cannes France, the favourite resort town of legendary Coco Chanel.  The weather in Cannes French Riviera is always great. There is a superb selection of restaurant with wonderful service with fantastic and well priced seafood and wine, the scenery is beautiful and the shopping is brilliant. In Cannes there is a great variety of shops. Unlike Nice, Cannes boasts beautiful sandy beach Cannes. And although most of them are private, plenty of other beaches allow the public to pick a spot and sunbath free of charge. Cannes is quite a small town, but it is a town of many faces.

Easily the most fascinating spectacle forces tourists to turn their backs to the sea, where The Promenade de la Croisette, a wide, palm-shaded boulevard, Cannes la Croisette is the place to find the most expensive hotels and boutiques, and observe the latest fashion trends - not to mention see celebrities for ex. Sophie Marceau Cannes hiding out under extremely large sunglasses. At the end of the Promenade the tall modern building of the Palais des Festivals et des Congres proudly stands. Generally the city streets and board walk are well suited for tourists and beach-bound pedestrians.

In general, life in the city is very eventful: each year the vibrant Cannes International Film Festival or Festival de Cannes will take place from 11-22 May 2011; over 20-26 June advertising experts the world over will gather for the Cannes Lions Festival; the International Boat and Yacht Show falls on 07- 12 September 2011; and from 18-26 September the Royal Sailing Regattais held. This Regates Royales attracts over 150 yachts of all sizes. Palais Cannes hosts conferences, tournaments and trade shows throughout the year.

A few steps from the Palais des Festivals Cannes, where is the cannes film festival, the atmosphere of glamour in the Old Town is replaced by the idyllic comfort of the city's southern districts.

At Rue Felix Faure, pretty restaurants fit snugly between each other surrounded by ochre- and mustard-coloured houses, and most every menu offers the traditional fish stew, bouillabaisse, which pairs nicely with Provencal wines or the aniseed aperitif pastis. Actually Cann is one of the most cosmopolitan towns you're ever likely to visit. In Cannes Riviera there are plenty of restaurants with superb meal.
